When Kakathamburatti reached her nest, kaalletan, the Ox Saint, was waiting for her to tell about the meeting announced by the Simhathamburan on the next morning. But he forgot all those things after seeing that cute little cub in the lap of the Kakathamburatti.
On seeing the astonishment on the face of the Kaalletan, Kakathaburati explained the whole incident happened. She added, "He is the blessing of Vanadevatha (The Goddess of Forest). You know, today morning, I was suffering from a deep pain, and after seeing this karadikuttan, all my pain are gone." She looked at the cub with motherly affection and continued "and he is my son."
While patting the cub gently with her wings, she asked " Kaalleta, what is the news in the Forest?"
"You know, the Simhathamburan is conducting a meeting tomorrow at Alinchuvadu, didn't you get the Echo Mail?" Kaalletan asked.
Kakathamburatti is now showing her son to her children, all of them watched the cub with curiosity.... The elder daughter of Karkathamburatti asked " Mom, why he is not like us?" and Kakathamburatti starts laughing.
Kaalletan repeated the question, he is sure that Kakathamburatti is not at all listening to him.
"Ah.... no, I didn't checked the Echo Mail, I will check it after some time." She replied.
Kaalletan said goodbye and went to his home. He knew that Kakathamburatti is not in a mood to talk to him. She was totally attracted to that new born cub. While he was going to his home, he can see that the Kakathamburatti and her children playing with the Karadikuttan.
