On the next day, along with the morning rain and the fog, there came a bad news. It was the death of Kakathamburatti and her children. The news was spread through the echo mails from the cricket fly.The mail said:

 "Dear countrymen,
                       It is my immense pleasure to proclaim that, the curse of our forest, Kakathamburatti and her children, are dead. Our Mighty Pandarapada killed them on a close encounter.
                      Today, in the noon, there will be a ceremony to show your disgrace to them by throwing stones at the dead bodies at the Kakapara. All are invited to the ceremony. I proclaim that, anyone who is showing any disrespect to my command will suffer the same fate as Kakathamburattia and her children.               
                      Those are absent in this ceremony, will be executed without a trail.

As always the last line in the red colour made them remember that there is no other choice.


Kaalletan also read the Echo Mail with a little of disbelief in his mind. At that time, the Karadikuttan is looking at him with a big smile on his face. His Divine smile gave Kaalletan, the strength to go for the ceremony.



At noon, everyone in the forest is flowing to the Kakapara. Most of them actually don't know which force is driving them to the ceremony. Is it the desire of their mind to see the Kakathamburatti for the last time or is it the "red" line at the end of the Echo Mail?

 The whole inhabitants in Aryankavu, were gathered there for the ceremony. And the "silence of death" has engulfed all their tongues. Kaalletan looked at the dead bodies. It was a terrible sight. all the 3 children of Kakthamburatti were brutally killed by the Kadavavalpada (Bat Soldiers of King) of the Pandarapada, all the bodies were covered in blood, most of the fetheres were gone, even the beak is missing from one of the child. He took his eye off form the dead bodies. His eyes turned to the Kakathamburatti. The body of Kakathamburatti was hagging at the Kariveeran Aalmaram, covered in blood. The head and one wing were missing.... His eyes filled with tears..... and so as the heart.

 Shattering the Silence, Simhathamburan announced. "Let's begin the stone throwing ceremony." And he threw the first stone at the Kakathamburatti. Then the Kurukkettan continued, then the others. Kaalletan saw a shivering in most of their hand while throwing the stone at Kakathamburatti....

 After the ceremony, while everyone was leaving the Kakapara, Kaallettan saw a Kadavaval( Bat), boasting about the chase and the murder done by the Kadavavalpada. He himself claimed that he cut the head of Kakathamburatti. His name is Kuttanvaval.

 While all these things were happening, two eyes were watching them all...
