Chapter 7

Seasons changed, rainy days to sunny days,  sunny days  to beautiful spring, spring to fall, fall to shivering winter and again the rainy days..... The cycle of nature continues...Now the Karadikkuten is no more a cub, he is a fully grown bear. He is now 4 years, 5 months, 10 days and exactly 6 hours old. He has a handsome face, soft and moist nose, strong muscles, soft blackish fur all over his body....Every sow in the Ariyankavu Forest dream of him...

He is very funny, always plays with children, help others... He always go to the Madhumala, a hill near Ariyankavu Forest, to take the honey. He loves to eat honey. Children always wait for him to come back from the Madumala for their share of honey. They always play with him and envy about his big fat belly. They named his belly as "Unni vayar". They where in the first one to call him Karadiammavan. They always say, "Karadiammavan has brought this!.... Karadiammavan did that!.... Karadiammavan showed us that trick..." Gradually everyone starts calling him Karadiammavan.

Karadiammavan lives with Kaalletan, the Ox Saint. He calls him Father. Kaalletan has never told a single word about the tragedy of his mother, Kakkathamburatti. Actually he not even mentioned her to Karadiammavan. No one in the forest knows that, Karadiammavan is the son of Kakathamburatti. Kaalletan is actually afraid of Simhathamburan, and that's why he hide all the secrets in the bottom of his heart.

During these years, Simhathamburan have never changed, but, definitely, his cruelty has increased. The cunning, Kurukketan is still with him. They together ride the Ariyankavu forest to it's dark ages. Now the rabbits, rats and all small animals come outside their shelters during nights, in order to avoid the brutal eyes of Simhathamburan and Kurukketan.

Even the elephants are afraid of the current situation in their forest. Now they go everywhere together to avoid attacks from Pandarapada, the King's army. Pandarapada do a lot of loot in the Ariyankavu Forest. They eat, drink, merry and kill at their will... Life in Ariyankavu is like hell now. The animals tried to escape from the Ariyankava forest to the near Chenkotta Forest, but those who tried where captured and brutally executed by the Pandarapada.
